The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Tokyo serves as the official diplomatic and consular representative of Indonesia in Japan, with concurrent accreditation for the Federated States of Micronesia. As a vital hub for international relations, the Embassy is dedicated to fostering robust cooperation between Indonesia, Japan, and Micronesia. To support its expanding diplomatic efforts, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Tokyo is currently seeking a highly motivated professional to join its team as a Local Staff member within the Economic Function.
## Position Overview and Qualifications
This role is open to both Indonesian citizens (WNI) and Japanese citizens (WN Japan) who demonstrate a strong passion for economic diplomacy and meet the following criteria:
* Age: Between 25 and 40 years old.
* Legal Status: Must possess valid residency and work authorization in Japan (students or interns are ineligible).
* Education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Economics, Development Economics, Business/Management, International Trade, International Relations, Economic Law, or Statistics.
* Language Proficiency:
* For WNI: Minimum N2 Japanese language certification.
* For WN Japan: Proficiency in Indonesian and English, validated through certification or interviews.
* Technical Skills: Mastery of MS Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint) and design tools like Canva.
* Driving Credentials: A valid driver’s license (SIM) issued by Japanese authorities.
* Professional Conduct: No prior criminal record and a clean conflict-of-interest status regarding current Embassy staff.
* Professional Background: Prior experience in government agencies, international organizations, chambers of commerce, or research institutes is highly desirable.
